When should you replace your tyres?
The minimum legal tread depth for tyres in New Zealand is 1.5 mm. This ensures that your vehicle isn’t a safety hazard and is able to come to a stop when it needs to. If your vehicle becomes slippery or difficult to drive, it is strongly recommended that you check the tread depth on each tyre.
Can all tyres be repaired?
Most punctures, nail holes or cuts up to 6mm can be repaired by trained technicians, as long as the damage is confined to the tread.
Never repair your tyres if they:
- Have tread punctures larger than 6mm.
- Have sidewall punctures.
- Are worn below the wear indicator bars located on your tyre.
How to find your tyre size?
Look on the side of your tyre to find the width/Profile/Rim sizes. Check all tyres, back tyre sizes can be different.
Wheel Alignment

How do I know if I need a new battery?
